Mouse Trap Morale Patch: A Whimsical Addition to Your Kit

Quick Answer

The Mouse Trap Morale Patch is a playful, 3D embroidered patch from Maxpedition that lets you add a touch of humor to your tactical gear. Follow these steps to attach it securely and keep it looking great.

How to Attach and Style Your Mouse Trap Morale Patch

1. Choose the Right Spot: Select a clean, flat area of hook-and-loop (Velcro) on your backpack, plate carrier, or hat. Avoid curved or dirty surfaces to ensure a strong hold. Check that the surface is free of debris—lint or dust can weaken the grip.
2. Press Firmly and Evenly: Align the patch's hook side with the loop surface and press down from the center outward. Apply even pressure for 5–10 seconds. A common mistake is pressing only the edges—this can cause the center to lift over time.
3. Secure for Heavy Use: If your gear sees rough handling, add a small safety pin through the patch backing and loop fabric, or use a patch retention ring. This prevents loss during movement. Never use adhesive—it can damage the patch and the gear surface.
4. Rotate to Reduce Wear: Swap the patch to a different spot every few weeks to avoid permanent creasing or fading from sun exposure. Store patches flat in a drawer when not in use to maintain their 3D shape.
